Since I wanted to start the year right, most especially in terms of personal finance, I am looking for a free budgeting software to help me organize my monthly budget. I twitted, plurked, googled and asked on Facebook about this, hopefully to get some suggestions from fellow bloggers and friends.

Why Free Budgeting Software

First, it will be best to get a budgeting software for free right?

Next, I finally want to try this aside from the usual notebook-based budgeting manner I used to do in the previous years.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that was obsolete. In fact that kind of budgeting still works fine for me up to now. I will come up with a post about my planner-based budgeting in the next few days.

Finally, I want to lay out my budget using a free software to have a more visual way of interpreting my budget. That way, I can focus more on the aspects of my budget that needed more attention.

Dilemma with Free Budgeting Softwares

Free for a Time

When I searched online, I saw a lot of websites offering free budgeting softwares, but only for a time. You have then to pay for a certain amount so you can still use it after the trial period.

Dollar-based Currencies

I would love to use a free budgeting software that can be compatible with Peso currency.

Honestly, it was an eye opener for me when I searched for these softwares online and only found US based blogs and websites as for the result of these googled attempts.

I checked for the same keywords and clicked the preference for pages/sites located in the Philippines. I only found a few and that made me realize something.

Budgeting for Filipinos

Generally, do Filipinos take budgeting matters for granted? Or do we just use the non-online style of budgeting for years?
